RSIS Leader Training and Project Planning Workshops

Leader Training Workshops were introduced in April 2009. The aim of these workshops is to gather together interested staff in each Round Square Region and give them sessions on how to organise, plan and lead Projects safely. The training is delivered from an RSIS perspective so that staff can see how these are planned and what safety standards are adhered to. The aim is then to give staff a tool-kit so that they can plan and lead their own School Projects and also to eventually lead RSIS Projects.

Each workshop is different and tailored to the needs and aspirations of each Region. Some workshops may only need a few days based in a lecture room, and some workshops may be designed to have a small Training Project in addition to the workshop. It is hoped that training will run in 2 or 3 Regions per year and that eventually, key staff in each Region will be able to deliver the training themselves.

Australasia was the first Region to benefit from this training in April 2009 followed by the India Region in July 2009, Americas Region in October 2009 and Africa Region in April 2010. You can read downloadable reports on some of the workshops below.
