The IDEALS in our school

All our students participate in service learning both locally and within our extensive international service learning programme. Our Intercultural Learning Programme sees students participate in trips overseas with an emphasis on cultural understanding. Sustainability initiatives are present throughout the school, including organic waste stream management. We also offer an extensive outdoor education programme with our northern campus on Lake Temagami in Northern Ontario being a focal point. Finally, our students through their participation in elected Councils and Prefect roles play an active leadership role in all aspects of academic, co-curricular and residential life.

What being a Round Square school means to us

Being a Round Square school means embodying the Round Square IDEALS at all levels of academic and co-curricular involvement. At Appleby College, we aspire to bring the world to our school, and our school to the world by preparing our students to respect and appreciate the advantages of living in an intercultural and interdependent world. Round Square offers our students the chance to grow through their participation in Regional and International Conferences, International Student Exchanges and additional International Service work.
