The IDEALS in our school

Box Hill School is a founder member of the Round Square Association of Schools and therefore we follow the educational philosophy of Kurt Hahn and live by his ‘IDEALS’ which we apply every day in the classroom and through our vast range of afternoon activities and bi-annual expeditions. We give the pupils opportunities to carry out service projects in South Africa and offer exchanges with other schools. Our dedicated Round Square committee ensure the ideals are pupil led and embedded in our school ethos and everyday life.

What being a Round Square school means to us

It means giving opportunities to pupils that would otherwise be unavailable, whether through overseas service projects or leading initiatives at school. RS means being challenged, but ultimately being given a voice, learning respect for others and appreciating each other’s differences and strengths in collaboration. It means coming out of school with the confidence and humility to embrace the world!
