Brookhouse is a co-educational day and boarding school for children aged 2 – 19, offering an adapted form of the British National Curriculum to Kenyan and international pupils. The pursuit of academic excellence is at the centre of the school’s educational philosophy and approach.
The IDEALS in our school
The RS IDEALS come alive when students are impacted by the operational engagements of Round Square. When students return from exchanges or conferences or service projects and present their experiences at assembly, the sense of invigorated commitment is powerful. The IDEALS encapsulate the ethos of servant leadership at the school and reflect the importance of students understanding that with great opportunity comes great responsibility. For the IDEALS to have genuine impact, the school needs to practice their application on a daily basis, whereby each child is exposed to the importance and priority these elements have in a Brookhouse education.
What being a Round Square school means to us
Round Square often begins as a membership, but it should not remain that way in its ability to shape and influence each child in the member school. At its best, the activities of Round Square are ‘best practice’ reflections of being a Round Square school in philosophy and ethos. And being a Round Square school is really about impacting the mindset of each child, such that they emerge better able to respond to the challenges of servant leadership in the 21st century.
