Schule Schloss Salem is a boarding school with campuses in Salem and Überlingen in Baden-Württemberg, Southern Germany. It is considered one of the most elite schools in Europe.
The IDEALS in our school
The IDEALS are very present in our daily routine both in the academic approach and in the boarding life. We celebrate and embrace cultural diversity, encourage students’ voice, inform our community and act upon environmental issues, offer a wide range of outdoor activities, work along future leaders and show our commitments to others. From a very early age, our students have the opportunity to develop as a whole person through the realization of these six pillars which demand courage, imagination, generosity, initiative and resolution.
What being a Round Square school means to us
As a RS school, our students and staff make a strong commitment beyond academic excellence, to personal development and responsibility – based on the ideas of the reforming educationalist and founder of Salem, Kurt Hahn. By taking on responsibilities, serving their fellows, accepting challenges, having adventures, and sharpening their awareness of international issues, the pupils are able to discover and develop their whole identity.
