Sir David Kim Hempleman-Adams, KCVO, OBE, KStJ, DL, FRSGS is a British industrialist and adventurer. "Round Square provides schools and their students with a route-map and compass for excellence and achievement through adventure, exploration and discovery. If, through my role as a Round Square Idealist, I can inspire today’s young people to value the learning and growth potential of personal endeavour, then I will have added significantly to my lifetime’s achievements."
Tim Jarvis AM is an Environmental Explorer, adventurer, climber, author and documentary filmmaker, with Masters qualifications in environmental science and environmental law. "My challenge is to bring Shackleton’s leadership lessons and images of melting glacier ice to the subject of climate change."
Paula Kahumbu is a wildlife conservationist and Chief Executive Officer of WildlifeDirect. She is best known as a campaigner for elephants and wildlife, spearheading the Hands Off Our Elephants Campaign. "Round Square is instilling in students a desire to take practical action in tackling environmental issues, questioning and challenging practices that impact negatively on the environment. It’s a very solutions-focussed and hands-on approach. The students are learning that individual intervention, however small that may feel, when added together creates a movement, a campaign for change."
Mishal Husain, is a British news presenter for BBC Television and BBC Radio. She is a host on Today, BBC World News and BBC Weekend News. She has hosted HARDtalk and BBC Breakfast. "My parents were inspired by the ideals of Kurt Hahn and the belief in educating the whole person. That in turn has become a part of me, as has the internationalism of the Round Square movement, which helped spark my interest in international news and broadcasting from around the world."
