Director of Cricket/Head Coach, New Zealand

Whanganui Collegiate School has a strong tradition and success in the sport of cricket. Following a successful review and the newly formed partnership with New Zealand Cricket Foundation we now seek to appoint: DIRECTOR OF CRICKET/HEAD COACH

This is a full-time contract position starting Term 3 2020 (20 July 2020) for an experienced Cricket Coach with a proven record of success, preferably at Secondary level. The Director of Cricket/Head Coach will report to the Director of Sport and be accountable to the Headmaster. The Director of Cricket/Head Coach will play a substantial and significant role within Whanganui Collegiate School Cricket and be responsible for:

• Developing effective coaching and training strategies – setting the training programme and strategic plan for WCS Cricket
• Developing consistency through the whole programme, preparing, training and selecting players and teams for the season
• Develop, implement and monitor the effectiveness of a range of initiatives to raise the standards of coaching within the entire WCS cricket programme.
• Administer and run the WCS Cricket Academy

Experience as a Residential Tutor and/or Master in a coeducational boarding school would be beneficial. A level 2/Level 3 or equivalent coaching certificate would also be beneficial.
