We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, innovative teacher to lead our outstanding Outdoor Education department and capitalise on our well-resourced 100-acre facility in Dwellingup. Our ideal candidate is an exemplary practitioner with the ability to inspire staff and students. This is a full-time, permanent position, anticipated to commence in Term, 2022.

The Head of Outdoor Education is responsible for the management of the Outdoor Education programme across the three sub schools at the College. This includes programme management, facilitation, and administration in addition to the leadership of the team and management of the purpose-built Moray Outdoor Education property and facility in Dwellingup.

We are looking for an exemplary practitioner with the ability to inspire students to develop their skills, build resilience, foster a sense of adventure, and explore the diverse Western Australian environment. The successful candidate will be appropriately qualified and be:

• experienced in delivering and overseeing engaging programmes that stimulate and educate students
• able to demonstrate strong leadership in order to build a cohesive team
• be a person of character who is dedicated and passionate about education
• able to build strong relationships with students, staff, parents and members of the broader College community

An extensive co-curricular programme assists teachers to build relationships with their peers, students and their families outside the classroom. The course management structure gives staff the opportunity to gain experience in managing and coordinating curriculum areas and the pastoral care process allows all staff to actively engage with boys and their parents.

The successful candidate will be required to provide evidence of current registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA) and a Working with Children Check (WWCC).
