POSITION TITLE: Systems Technician (Tablet Centre)

KEY DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
The core duties of the Systems Technician (Tablet Centre) include:
- Provide first contact Tablet Centre IT support
- As a student and staff facing position, liaise with staff and students regarding: PC and Software Requests and Faults and Accidental and Non-Accidental Damage
- Provide IT helpdesk support (See Helpdesk support duties below)
- Assist with Administration of Helpdesk System
- Coordinating and Undertaking Imaging of Mobile and Desktop PC Fleet
- Maintain IT stock asset register
- Administration of Google/YouTube accounts
- Administration of Classroom Management Software (AB Tutor) Conducting student on-task checks using AB Tutor
- Administration of Staff Online Cyber Safety Training (Phriendly Phishing)
- Monitoring of Sophos Antivirus Enterprise Console
- Assist with Administration of staff and student MS Active Directory logins and MS Exchange email accounts
- Assist with Administration of user file and folder permissions
- Workstation and laptop hardware maintenance and service call logging
- Assist with Administration of printing systems and service call logging
- Assist with imaging of desktops, laptops, and tablets
- Ensure appropriate stock of IT consumables is kept
- Researching and advising on relevant IT developments
- Assist with Senior Systems Administrator (Cloud, Virtual and Windows Server Systems), Systems Administrator (Cloud, Virtual and Windows Server Systems), Systems Administrator (Tablet Centre and Helpdesk Coordinator), Administration Assistant (TASS Administration and Support) and AV Manager duties
- Assist with ensuring workplace health and safety compliance
- Undertake duties as directed by IT Manager
Helpdesk support duties include but are not limited to:
- Login and password maintenance
- Installation of workstations and peripherals
- Undertaking hardware maintenance and service call logging
- Undertaking software maintenance
- Troubleshooting general network issues
- Troubleshooting e-mail issues
- Printer and printer queue maintenance
- Reimaging of workstations and installation of software
- Troubleshooting hardware and software faults
- Troubleshooting virus and spyware issues
- Monitoring appropriate usage of RGS IT hardware and services

REQUIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
- Minimum Certificate III level training completed;
- Minimum 1 year experience in the IT field.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
The successful applicant will be subject to a “Working with Children Check” and “Criminal Records Check” where applicable. The School undertakes several screening processes to ensure the appropriate protection of children and young people in its care. This includes reference checks, identity checks qualification check and professional registration checks.
