Wyoming Seminary College Preparatory School seeks a dynamic upper school French teacher for the 2020/21 school year. Wyoming Seminary, or “Sem” as it is affectionately known, is situated in the beautiful Wyoming Valley of northeast Pennsylvania, famously dubbed, the “valley with a heart.” In close proximity to the Poconos, the area contains many opportunities for outdoor pursuits with its picturesque mountains and lakes. Sem is also only two hours from New York City and Philadelphia.

Job responsibilities include:
- Full-Time Teaching: teach upper school French courses, which could range from French I to AP French.
- Advisor: provide academic and community guidance to a group of 5-8 advisees.
- Participation in our co-curricular programs.
- Attendance and participation in all meetings, events, open houses, etc. as indicated.
- Participation in the residential life program is an option but not a requirement for this position.
The ideal candidate:
- Has an undergraduate concentration or master’s degree in French.
- Has 3+ years of teaching experience or a degree in French
- Has an interest in participating in all aspects of the Sem community, co-curricular as well as academic.
- Is committed to ongoing growth and development as a professional.
- Is invested in positively and actively contributing to the school’s growth and development and is willing to jump in wherever there is a need.
