GAP Teaching Assistant, Colombia

Posted: 16 November 2021

The Colegio Anglo Colombiano is seeking to recruit GAP Teaching Assistants for the 2022-2023 academic year. We have a long and successful history of hosting school-leavers and graduates from around the world.

The Anglo is a well established independent day school in the heart of Bogotá, in the culturally exuberant country of Colombia, one of the most biodiverse countries in the world. We have students from 4 until 18 years old, in three sections, pre-school, primary and secondary. Our school is built upon a tradition of internationalism, Britishness and our Colombian roots.

Your role in our school is to support teaching and learning in one of our three sections. You could be supporting English development in pre-kinder or working with IB Diploma students on their assessments. You will work alongside colleagues as a member of the Anglo team. There are numerous opportunities to develop your passions and interests through clubs, sports and other activities.

GAP colleagues are housed adjacent to our school site with an entrance directly on to school grounds and to the city. A member of staff will supervise the accommodation and be on hand to provide advice and support. You are provided with a maintenance allowance which allows you to enjoy the many opportunities for travel which Colombia has to offer.

We know that leaving home as part of a GAP placement can be daunting. The Anglo provides you with the opportunity to be away from home with the reassurance and support our community can offer.

We have two sessions, August to December and January to June. There are up to five vacancies for each session.

If you would like to know more or make an application, please contact Andy Edmonds, Round Square Rep and Head of Secondary by emailing rsrep@anglo.edu.co.
