Round Square President, His Majesty King Constantine, today announced the Board of Trustees’ appointment of Rachael Westgarth to the position of CEO of Round Square.

Previously Deputy Chief Executive at enterprise-education charity Young Enterprise, part of the worldwide Junior Achievement Group, and a graduate of Oxford University, Rachael began her career in the corporate sector with international market research firm ACNielsen. She joined Round Square in February 2013 and became Director of Strategy and Operations in May 2014.

His Majesty King Constantine said " The Board of Trustees is delighted that Rachael was an applicant for the position of CEO and looks forward to working with her in the coming months and years to further the already strong position in which Round Square is placed.

"In the past two years, Rachael has led the organisation in the formulation of our Strategic Plan and has introduced a number of key initiatives, including Round Square's Discovery Framework and a research project with Cambridge University, which have quickly gained traction and will no doubt develop further under her leadership."

With a network of international schools in 40 countries on five continents, Round Square provides a catalyst and framework for more than 100,000 students each year to engage in a holistic programme of self-discovery. Built around six IDEALS of learning (Internationalism, Democracy, Environmentalism, Adventure, Leadership and Service), the Round Square approach aims to inspire and draw out from every child their capacity for achievement and excellence, recognising that learning is most effective when it is practical, cross-cultural and collaborative.
