Thank you to year 10 student hosts Keylah, Bryce, Georgiana, Kate and Claudia, from Ballarat Grammar School, and their RS Rep, Tim Adams who hosted a fantastic RS Zoom Postcard today on Life Learning in Lockdown for students from 10 schools across the RS network.
With student travel currently impossible for most schools, this week Round Square has invited schools to sign up to participate in a Virtual Exchange experience, as part of the existing RS Exchange programme.
Thank you to Markham College, San Silvestre School, St Georges College, Craighouse School, Aubrick, Belgrano Day School, Anglo Colombiano for jointly hosting this weeks RS postcard. A special thanks to Lieveke Van Doorslaer, RS Rep at San Silvestre School, who coordinated the student team that led the call.
On Monday we were delighted to welcome Lydia Eckstein to the Round Square team as RS Research Manager (part time). Many of you will know Lydia as RS Coordinator at ICS Zurich in Switzerland, a role that she will continue alongside her research with Round Square. Lydia has an established track-record as a character education researcher and teacher in a range of international settings including the UK, Turkey, Thailand and Switzerland.
Students sent in images and short messages in advance on the things they love most about India and the places and experiences they would like to have in India. On the call, our hosts introduced various aspects of Indian culture and presented on different topics before inviting participants to talk about the contributions they sent in.
Thank you to Madeleine, Paul, Jojo, Magda, Diabla from Realschule Gut Warnberg in Germany and their teacher Corinna Ludolph who hosted a fantastic RS Zoom postcard today on Digital School. Students sent in photographs and short comments in advance about what their experience of Digital School has looked and felt like, which were discussed on the call before participants split into five Barazza groups to continue their conversations.
This year Dhirubhai Ambani International School awarded the King Constantine Medal to Anushka Basu for her consistent effort towards service to the under privileges as well as the environment. She believes that the only way to make something happen is ‘to do it yourself’. With the spirit of self-initiative and service mindedness, has helped to serve the environment and humanity by actively participating in numerous service activities planned by her school.
