Round Square appoints Craig Carolan as Professional Development Director

Round Square is delighted to announce the appointment of Craig Carolan to the position of Professional Development Director.

Craig’s career spans over 25 years of teaching, training, and coaching. Before moving into personal and organisational coaching, Craig’s teaching career spanned leadership roles, as SenCo, Head of Learning Development, Head of Year, Deputy Headmaster and Headmaster at successful independent and state schools in both the United Kingdom and South Africa. For the past two years Craig has been working with Round Square schools across Africa in a part-time role as Schools’ Support Director, alongside running his own education consultancy and coaching business.

In this new full-time position on the Round Square Worldwide Management Team, Craig will lead a collaborative project across the RS global network to draw together a structured Professional Development programme that connects the Round Square ethos, principles and practices with themes from positive psychology and positive education. The result will be a guiding framework for the practical application of relevant education theories, both ancient and modern, within the context of “Being Round Square”

As a teacher and coach, Craig holds a Masters in Psychology, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Leadership Development, is a certified NLP trainer and Master Trainer in the de Bono Thinking skills. Craig is a member of the International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA) and the Association for Coaching. He looks forward to applying the knowledge and expertise he has gained over the course of his career to date to this new role with Round Square.
