It is with great sadness that we share the news that Mr Murray Guest, the much loved and respected Headmaster of The Armidale School, Australia, was killed in a motor vehicle accident on the morning of 29th October 2019.

Murray’s involvement in Round Square has been extensive over many years as the Head of a very active and committed Global Member School and, for the past six years, as a Round Square Board Member and Regional Trustee for Australasia and East Asia.

In all areas his intellect, insight, measured perspective and dry wit will be sorely missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing and working with him in the Round Square community.

We know that many of you will be greatly impacted by his sudden loss, as are his colleagues on the RS Board and RS staff team. He was with us in Indore for the RSIC earlier this month and it is unfathomable that he should so suddenly be gone.

This statement has been issued by The Armidale School, who are asking for privacy for the school community at this time. As such we have opened an online record of condolence should you wish to write a message, upload a letter or share a photo here. We will collate the messages received and forward them to the School and his Family at the appropriate time.
