Bangalore International School, set up in 1969 as American Community School, is the first international school in Bangalore. It is an inclusive school welcoming students from different cultures and with varied abilities. We are accredited by the University of Cambridge, Local Examination Syndicate, the Council of International Schools and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. The school is also a Cambridge International Examinations Centre and authorized by the IBO to run the Diploma Programme.
Bangalore International School
The Round Square Ideals are embedded within the school’s curricular and co-curricular programmes. Each year, a theme connected to one of the Ideals permeates and guides all the events that are conducted during the academic year.
Students are given an exposure to multiple cultures and are trained to become global citizens in their formative years. The student council is elected democratically keeping the interest of the school in the forefront. Recycling and conservation are promoted to spread awareness on saving the environment. Field trips are organised to inculcate team spirit, adventure and leadership. Our students take pride in being actively involved in a club that supports service activities close to their hearts.
