Beaconhurst School

Beaconhurst School

Beaconhurst School is an independent day school for boys and girls from 3 to 18 in Scotland.

As proud members of the Round Square international network, at Beaconhurst, we hold the philosophy of Kurt Hahn and his 6 IDEALS of Internationalism, Democracy, Environment, Adventure, Leadership and Service at the very heart of all we encourage and support our young people to achieve and experience during their years with us. Our aim is to create a positive, sustainable environment in which pupil voice is a key element, where pupils are able to take a lead in providing service both within and outside our school community and where pupils have a platform to develop the confidence and skills to broaden their horizons in the international forum.

What being a RS school means to us

At Beaconhurst, we are delighted to be members of Round Square. As a small school with big ambitions, the possibilities for our pupils to take part in exchanges across the world in partner schools and the enrichment to our community in receiving international exchange students are truly inspirational.  Being able to provide our pupils with a sense of global perspective from real experiences and personal interactions will enable them to take a lead and make a difference in today’s ever-changing global community.
