The IDEALS in our school
At Chadwick, the IDEALS permeate throughout the student body and activities on campus. Exchange students help us understand perspectives; Student-led clubs keep us aware of local multiculturalism. We experience democracy in student-centered classrooms, Model United Nations, and student government.
The Outdoor Education board and Eco Community work to increase appreciation for and stewardship of the environment. Whether it’s taking a hike through the Annapurna sanctuary on a service project or camping alone as seniors, adventure is all over our campus. Students emerge as leaders in the classroom, in sports, and in the many opportunities Chadwick provides.
The Community Service Advisory Board, along with other organizations such as Peer Mentors, organizes and oversees service opportunities both locally and abroad.
What being a Round Square school means to us
Round Square is an integral part of Chadwick’s dedication to creating global citizens. With the IDEALS overarching the campus, students look beyond nationality or culture to understand each other. Chadwick students are leaders who take responsibility for local and global problems. To us, Round Square means having greater opportunities for global connections and the heightened ability for engaged citizenship, ultimately “contributing to our local, national, and global communities,” as stated in our school’s Mission Statement.
