Penryn is an independent, co-educational, Methodist school situated in a tranquil, bushveld setting between Nelspruit and White River. Providing outstanding education from Preschool to Grade 12, our warm, friendly and stimulating environment creates the opportunity for every child to thrive and develop into confident young adults with a passion for life.

Penryn is an innovative school with a proven track record of nurturing the intellectual, physical, spiritual and emotional well-being of our scholars. Our scholars are challenged to step beyond their comfort zones in order to develop into strong, independent-minded, responsible, global citizens.

The IDEALS in our school

Scholars are involved in alien bush clearing, tree planting, rhino poaching awareness, bird watching and snare removals from the surrounding bush. Staff are involved in the “Kids in Kruger” program which involves workshops for teachers and scholars in Kruger National Park.

Service is an integral part of Penryn and is home to Penreach – an outreach programme which aids the surrounding disadvantaged schools in terms of teacher workshops, school visits and tutoring.

International affairs are included in the school curriculum and debated extensively. Leadership and democracy go hand in hand at Penryn. Scholar leaders are actively involved in the running of the school and participating in committees.
