At Canterbury College, the Round Square IDEALS are brought to life through authentic, student-centred experiences that align with our mission to develop confident, optimistic and compassionate young people who are World Ready. International Understanding and Democracy are strengthened through whole of College cultural celebrations, international tours with language immersion, student-led initiatives, and leadership forums such as Student Parliament, where student voice is actively valued and empowered. Environmentalism is enhanced through our Sustainability and Kitchen Garden programs, linking curriculum learning with hands-on action from the Early Learning Centre through to Senior School. Adventure is embedded through our comprehensive and developmental Outdoor Education Program and Duke of Edinburgh experiences, building resilience, teamwork and independence from Years 3 to 11. Leadership is developed through Thrive Days, Leadership Retreats, targeted workshops and cohort-wide opportunities that equip students to lead with purpose. Service is a defining feature of Canterbury life, with structured student-led programs, whole of school initiatives and and House-led Service Weeks that prioritise meaningful, transformational impact within the local, national and international community.

Being a Round Square school affirms my belief that education must reach far beyond academic results.
