Bring the world to your students with Round Square Zoom Postcards
How can your students experience global diversity and broaden their perspectives without leaving school? Round Square Zoom Postcards make it possible.
Each week, students from Round Square schools worldwide lead engaging 60- or 90-minute Zoom “postcard” sessions. These interactive, student-led conversations connect your young people with peers from up to 30 different schools, offering insights into everything from cultural traditions and favourite recipes to pressing global issues like climate change and social justice.
Whether sharing hobbies or discussing major challenges, these sessions provide a weekly opportunity for students to build international understanding, dispel stereotypes, and cultivate a genuine respect for other cultures.
How Zoom Postcards work
Round Square manage and support RS Zoom Postcards, but students from the host school lead the call. They determine the call time and topic, design the postcard and present and facilitate the discussions.
Each postcard is tailored for a specific age group (11-13, 13-15 or 16-18 year olds) with participants often invited to submit photographs or questions in advance to enhance the conversation.
Bringing together between 50 and 150 students (depending on the topic) from up to 30 schools, these sessions combine informal chat with formal presentation, Q&A, debate and discussion in Baraza breakout groups, games and quizzes.
We advertise opportunities to host and participate in postcards well in advance, making it easy for schools to book, These sessions are open to all students and could be of interest to different year group or subject leads.
