About the Conference
The theme of the Conference was ‘It’s in me: Expanding the Circle of Human Concern’. It was a great experience for all student delegates to gain insight into a wide range of community engagements taking place all over the world for finding sustainable solutions to common human problems.
Discussions were held on several issues ranging from challenges faced by children in the slums of Mumbai, to the displacement of people in Syria. The conference also offered varied experiences including a visit to ‘Goonj’, an organisation combating rural poverty through collection and distribution of clothes and other items from cities. The programme included:
