Elementary School Teacher (Math and Learning English and Natural Sciences)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Elementary School Teacher with a strong background in language instruction across diverse subjects to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will be an educator who can inspire and engage students in a diverse and inclusive learning environment focused on developing language skills in an interdisciplinary environment. This role requires a creative approach to teaching, with the ability to design and implement curriculum that fosters critical thinking and communication skills. As well, the ideal candidate will be able to combine and integrate subjects and contents effectively through the use of student-centered methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging, student-centered lessons in Math, and in our interdisciplinary subject LENS (Learning English and Natural Science).
  • Develop curriculum materials and assessment strategies that align with our school’s educational philosophy and standards, while also meeting the diverse needs of our students through differentiation.
  • Be updated with current pedagogical perspectives, as well as interdisciplinary practices.
  • Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, collaboration, and respect for diverse perspectives.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to enhance learning outcomes and engage students with different learning styles.
  • Conduct ongoing assessment of student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to support individual learning goals.
  • Seek and maintain effective communication with students, parents and other teachers.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, faculty meetings, and school committees to contribute to the continuous improvement of our educational programs.
  • Engage with the school community, including parents and guardians, to support student learning and development outside of the classroom.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences, Math, Language Arts or related areas and / or Education. A Master’s Degree in Education, Biology, Language Arts, Math or related areas is desirable.
Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in Elementary School.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students and colleagues.
High level of English proficiency required; TOEFL/IELTS and/or Cambridge C1 Proficiency as well as some proficiency in Spanish are highly desirable.
Capacity to establish positive professional relationships with Elementary students.
