On a sunny morning, Problem-solving Papri and Empowered Ember went to the park next to their house. They want to relax and have a picnic after hard work. Empowered Ember found a tree next to the river, its long branches made a blanket of shade under it. “What a perfect place for a picnic!” Empowered Ember said to Problem-solving Papri as he ran over to the tree, He sat down and waved to Papri. “Nice spotted,” said Papri, “I ever knew I would have a sidekick like you.” Ember sat up straight, his eyes shone with pride.
Suddenly, the tree started to rustle, the leaves shook hard, some even started to fall. “What is happening？” Ember asked. “I don’t know,” replied Papri, “stay here, let me check.” Ember opened his mouth as if he was going to argue but closed it immediately after Papri gave him a stern stare. Papri climbed up the tree carefully, a few minutes later Papri finally reached the top. she looked around and spotted a cat stuck on the tree, some branches curved around it. Papri reached for the cat, the cat hissed at her, but she had already got hold of its neck. The cat struggled free and hissed at Papri again.
On the other side, Empowered Ember was holding a net in his hands as he creeping up on the cat. Creeping slowly, he raised up his net then—crack! Ember jumped to the sound, then he noticed that he stepped on a stick, the cat spun around and came face-to-face with Ember, it hissed as its eyes burn with fury. Ember jumps on the branch that Papri is on and pulls the cat too.
Suddenly, the branch snaps and they fall down. Papri got up from the ground and walked angrily towards Ember and said “What do you think you were doing? I was just about to get it! Think before you do things next time!” “Ok, sorry” “Sorry rescues no cat,” Papri ignored him, “come on let’s think of something else to rescue the cat.”
“I have an idea!” shouted Empowered Ember, “we can shake the tree!” “Hmm,” Papri thought for a while, “Ok, it’s worth a try, but it might not work.” Ember and Papri go under the tree, they shook the tree. The leaves rustled, the branches shook but no cat fell down. “Grrrr” Says Ember, “I don’t think this plan is going to work, but we need to find a way to rescue the cat.” “I know,” replied Papri, “ but I don’t have an idea, do you？” “Actually,” Ember smiled, “I do.”
A few minutes later, Papri and Ember, came back with lots of supplies. There was a long rope, a net, some meat and lots of other supplies. “What do you need all of this for?” Papri asked, “this plan better work, it used up a lot of money. Ember, I tell you, if this plan does not work, I am giving up.” “Ok ok, just do what I say. And also, don’t worry this plan is going to work.” Ember replied, “Now put net around the tree so if the cat jumps out it will land in the net.” “Ok,” said Papri, “What about the rope?” “Tie the rope together so that it makes a ring,” replied Ember. When they finished, It was getting dark. Ember flew up with the rope in his hands, he lowered it down and tried to get the cats head inside the loop. He tried again and again finally he got it! Ember pulled the cat out and landed on the ground. “You did it!” Papri said. “We both did it.” Ember told her.
On their way home Ember looked distracted. “What’s the matter” asked Papri. “Do you think we can make the cat…make it our pet?” Papri smiled “Sure.” She said, “Empowered Ember, you really are a hero.”
