Round Square English Language Labs offer students authentic English conversation with students their own age, supported by native-speaking peers from Round Square schools across the world.

Each week, students join a live, one‑hour online session led by trained Round Square student hosts. These sessions create a relaxed, friendly environment where learners can practise speaking naturally and confidently.

To ensure every student can participate comfortably, groups are arranged by English ability level—beginner, intermediate, and advanced. This means students are encouraged to speak at a pace that suits them, while gradually stretching their skills through guided discussion.

The focus is simple and effective: practical, enjoyable conversations on everyday topics that build real confidence and genuine connection. Students do not just memorise English—they use it with real people, in real time, in ways that support both language development and global awareness.

Schools can register students aged 14+ for one, several, or all sessions. The consecutive weekly format allows relationships and confidence to build over time, turning language practice into something students genuinely look forward to.

We make the time conversion to be 7am in Bangkok, 8am in Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur, 9am in Seoul and Tokyo, 11am in Sydney, 1pm in Christchurch, and the previous day at 4pm in Vancouver, 5pm in Calgary, 6pm in Mexico City and 7pm in Bogota and Lima. But please check for your own location.

RS Coordinators and school faculty: If you would like to book onto a session to observe how the study labs work before signing up students, please feel free to do so. Many staff who have attended these preview sessions have found them both reassuring and useful. There is usually time for us to answer any questions you may have while also giving you the chance to see how the sessions run

Please share this opportunity with your English or EAL departments, and consider which students would benefit from regular, low-pressure conversation with peers beyond their own school.

A downloadable PDF with full details is available to support internal sharing and student sign-up
