Join a RS Zoom Postcard from Malvern St. James Girls’ School in the UK on 25 June
Malvern St. James Girls’ School in the UK invites you to register up to six students aged 16-18 and one adult HERE for a RS Zoom Postcard on 25 June with the theme “Trust in a Post-truth World”.
The 60-minute call will take place at 11am BST (GMT +1) which we make to be 7am in Buenos Aires and São Paulo, 12pm in Johannesburg and Berlin, 1pm in Nairobi, 2pm in Dubai and Yerevan, 3pm in Karachi, 3:30pm in Delhi, and 5pm in Bangkok. But please check for your own location.
Ahead of the call our hosts ask participants to create a one slide presentation per student with an example of a story or a news event, and analyze its narrative to include the following information: 1) What happened? 2) What version of the truth is being shown? and upload it HERE. They should also ponder on the questions: How can you tell what is true? Who do you trust, and why? and come ready to discuss in breakout rooms.
