Tena Koutou Katoa, we look forward to welcoming you to Whanganui Collegiate School, New Zealand. The conference theme: ‘Journeys Without Limits: Uniting the World Through Adventure’. We will be highlighting the special qualities of adventure and the power of international collaboration. The conference will provide opportunities for delegates to hear from leaders who have lived adventure in different ways, through guest speakers, baraza discussion groups, cultural visits, and adventure opportunities. Whanganui is located in the central north island, surrounded by rivers, sea, and volcanic mountains which give their own unique adventure opportunities.
New Zealand’s history is built upon great adventurers and explorers from Māori exploration around New Zealand to Sir Edmund Hilary a New Zealand mountaineer, explorer, and philanthropist who was one of the first people to climb Mount Everest. Adventure and internationalism hold a special place in the makeup of New Zealanders.
This conference will undoubtedly provide delegates with an enriching and worthwhile experience that will further their understanding of Adventure and Internationalism, and of New Zealand and her rich culture.
