Pre-work task:

Research a significant historical figure from your country or region who is often seen as a hero or important leader. Create a single PowerPoint slide assessing their actions and legacy from multiple perspectives – both positive and negative. Consider how they were viewed in their time, how different groups see them today, and how their beliefs or actions might be judged across cultures and historical contexts. Reflect on what defines a “hero,” how history is remembered, and whose voices are heard or left out. You have five minutes to present your subject to the group.
