Join RS Zoom Postcard from St. George’s Grammar School in South Africa on 5 August
St. George’s Grammar School invites you to register up to six students aged 16 – 18 and one adult HERE for a RS Zoom Postcard on 5 August with the theme “What makes someone truly influential today?”.
The 90-minute call will take place at 3pm CAT (GMT +2) which we make to be 8am in Quito and Bogotá, 9am in Miami and Ottawa, 10am in Buenos Aires and São Paulo, 2pm in London, 3pm in Paris and Johannesburg, 4pm in Nairobi, Doha, and Athens, 5pm in Dubai and Yerevan, and 6:30pm in Delhi. Ahead of the call our hosts ask participants to ask a parent, guardian, grandparent or teacher: Who influenced you when you were 17? Why did this person influence you?Would this person have been widely considered as influential when they were 17? Why do you think so or think not? Would you still consider this person to be influential today? Why or why not? Do you think the majority of young people would know who this person it today? Do you think that influence has changed since you were 17?. Please come to the call ready to compare answers.
