IDEALS

Round Square IDEALS provides Scotch College, Perth with a framework around which a broad range of co-curricular activities can be structured. As a school running all three International Baccalaureate programmes as well as local academic and trade-orientated syllabuses, the IDEALS complement formal coursework by adding substantial to the experiential learning activities our students encounter. The College has long understood the importance of instilling in students awareness of their potential for personal growth and their responsibilities to effect positive change when they engage with the world beyond school. The Round Square IDEALS creates pathways for leadership for staff and students alike and greatly enhances school experience for both groups.

What being a RS school means to us

Perth is among the most isolated cities in the world. While Scotch College has many levels of engagement internationally, membership of Round Square provides access to a network of schools with a similar focus on experiential learning in a global context. Through the Round Square association our students have opportunities for short-term international exchange, attending local and global conferences and service expeditions. Sharing best practice across the IDEALS enables Scotch College to measure our programmes against world standards of excellence.
