RSIS India 2025: Construction (updated)

Share With

Today was the day of construction. We woke up at 6 am full of energy. We all gathered in the dining area for a head count and some delicious food. For breakfast, we had a mix of fruits with tea or milk, as well as South Indian dishes. Everyone really enjoyed the meal. After breakfast, we returned to our rooms to finish packing for the construction work and were asked to assemble again at 8:45 am. Excitement was in the air as everyone looked forward to the day ahead.

Arriving at the construction site filled everyone with happiness and anticipation.

Half of the students worked on the upper part of the building, while the other half focused downstairs. Those upstairs passed bricks and helped build the walls of the library, while students downstairs levelled the ground by shovelling soil and applying mortar. In the end, everyone contributed to the construction—no one was left out.

Lunch was a special time, as students from different countries came together to sit and eat, embracing democracy and equality without any discrimination. After finishing work at 3:45 pm, we headed back to the lodge to freshen up. At 5 pm, we participated in block printing, where every student was actively involved. Creating the tiger prints was a fun and memorable experience. Finally, we had dinner, followed by the Baraza meeting.

In conclusion, although it was a tiring day, everyone did an amazing job and helped each other throughout. I would like to thank the RSIS in-charges for giving us such an incredible and memorable experience. We also made new friends and had the chance to learn about different cultures.
