British Overseas School
Gender: Coeducational Type: Day school only Age range: 2 - 16
The British Overseas School (BOS) was founded as a non-profit organization in 1958 for the children of expatriate families. In 2000, we opened our doors to local families, which gave them an opportunity to enjoy the benefits of a contemporary British Curriculum alongside an international student and parent body. The BOS caters for students aged 2 – 16 years.
The IDEALS in our school
At the BOS students participate in many international tournaments and field trips which ensure a wider international exposure. We have a very active Student Council and PTA who are involved in many charitable and fund raising events. The House Captains, Prefect Team and Community Service leaders provide for many leadership opportunities as do the many competitive sports and extracurricular events. MUN and Debate play and integral part within the school and beyond. We have a very active Community Service Program for Years 9 to 11. The BOS continuously strives to incorporate and integrate IDEALS within its school curriculum.
What being a Round Square school means to us
“I am overjoyed that the BOS is now a Round Square School. We are constantly working towards improving and Round Square will not only provide us with more exposure but also introduce new aspects of learning. I am confident that in the future our school will be ever more successful in further entrenching the IDEALS in our educational journey.” – In the words of our RS Student Council Rep
These sentiments are shared by our entire school community.
