Millwood School is a college preparatory, independent co-ed day school serving students from four years of age to twelfth grade. Located in Midlothian, VA, we provide a strong core curriculum that is enhanced by many special subjects and integrated with a variety of extracurricular activities.
The Ideals in our school
The Round Square philosophy aligns completely with our whole school character education program. Teachers in Lower School use the Heroes of Discovery framework to teach character education to our younger students. Our Middle and Upper School student clubs are formed under the umbrella of the IDEALS. Student Government, Houses, and Honour Societies all follow democratic principles and leaders are elected annually. Service is a graduation requirement for all Upper School students and students participate in a variety of local and international volunteer projects. Millwood students participate and collect school wide recycling for collection locally.

Being a Round Square school is important to the Millwood Community. Round Square gives us access to a worldwide network of like minded schools which allows us to enrich our students’ learning far beyond our local area. Round Square allows students to make connections with other students from countries all around the world, helping them to broaden their horizons and enhance their cultural understanding.
