The IDEALS in our school
The philosophy which RS is built on which ties in beautifully with the discoveries and the school values. The discoveries are not something we ‘teach’ in isolation but rather it gives us a language to use to identify the character traits we try and instil in our learners through the school values. At Stanford, we have an understanding of how important self-efficacy is and how self-awareness plays a role in a child’s ability to motivate themselves and permeate the IDEALS into all aspects of our school in order to develop this.
What being a Round Square school means to us
Not only does it give us a language to use when teaching the ever-important 21st-century skills and focusing on character development, but it allows us the space and platform to interact with like-minded schools and educators who have the same teaching philosophy as us. It creates a network of sharing best practices and innovation in education and creates opportunities for students to grow and connect globally in ways that they otherwise wouldn’t be able to.
