Woodridge College is a private, co-educational school in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. Woodridge is situated near the small town of Thornhill, Kouga, halfway between Jeffrey’s Bay and Port Elizabeth.
The IDEALS in our school
Our school endeavours to embed the Round Square IDEALS into all aspects of life at Woodridge. Whether it be through service to our surrounding community, cultural activities, participation in our vast co-curricular sporting codes, outdoor education programs, surf lifesaving or activities over weekends in boarding, the ideals provide a framework for our school to drive our character education curriculum.
In the Preparatory School there is a focus on embedding the Round Square ideals in the learning culture through intentional inclusions in our curriculum and we are successfully running the “Heroes of Discovery” pilot program.
What being a Round Square school means to us
Being a member of the Round Square family of schools has certainly allowed our students to engage with a global community and has broadened the horizons of both our pupils and our staff. The ability to engage with the international community on a variety of topics has not only offered our pupils new perspectives but has also taught us the true meaning of diversity. The international opportunities that our students have access to through the Round Square network are invaluable and life changing.
