60 for 60 Inspiration: Miles Bronson Residential School, India
Students at Miles Bronson Residential School (MBRS) in India marked Round Square’s 60 for 60 Adventure through a series of activities designed to promote service, leadership, environmental stewardship and personal challenge.
The programme included a 60km trek to Basistha, where students demonstrated resilience and teamwork while working towards a shared goal.
“The trek was quite challenging and, because of that, it was a memorable one. There were many physical hardships and many difficult stretches along the way. After overcoming all these hardships, we shared a really special moment: I saw my friends and juniors helping one another overcome those challenges, and it was quite a sight, said the school’s Round Square President Puthiba. “I think this experience will stay with me for a very long time.”
A 4 km Zero Waste Marathon combined physical activity with environmental responsibility, encouraging participants to consider the impact of their actions while promoting healthy lifestyles.
Students also visited Mother Old Age Home, spending time with residents and engaging in meaningful service that fostered empathy, compassion and connections across generations.
The wider school community came together for a Fundraising Carnival, bringing students, parents and staff together in support of the challenge. The event provided opportunities for collaboration, creativity and community engagement while contributing to the school’s 60 for 60 efforts.
