60 for 60 Inspiration: Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya, India

As part of the Round Square 60 for 60 initiative, the Round Square Committee of Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya, Gwalior, visited Aatmjyoti Blind Girls School, Gwalior for a meaningful day of learning, connection, and shared joy.

The visit began with an opportunity for the students to attend a Physics class, where they observed the girls’ enthusiasm and dedication towards their studies. The students were particularly inspired by the effort, focus, and commitment with which the girls engaged in the learning process. Their approach to academics was a powerful reminder that determination, curiosity, and a love for learning can overcome challenges and open new possibilities. It was truly a novel and enlightening experience for the students.

The day was filled with conversations, laughter, music, games, and countless smiles. The students thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the girls and were inspired by their positive and cheerful spirit.

As a small gesture of love and care, the students prepared and shared handmade brownies with the girls. They also planted saplings on the school premises, taking a small step towards creating a greener environment and nurturing a sense of environmental responsibility.

The experience reflected the Round Square IDEALS—Democracy, Environment, Adventure, Leadership, and Service. Through the 60 for 60 initiative, the students had the opportunity to move beyond words and put these values into action.

The visit reminded the students that service is not simply about giving—it is about connecting, listening, learning, sharing, and growing together. They returned with happy hearts, cherished memories, and a renewed commitment to making a positive difference in the world around them.
