60 for 60 Inspiration: Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Kanpur
As part of the Round Square 60 for 60 Adventure Challenge, Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Kanpur, in India organised a student-led fundraiser. The initiative aimed to put the Round Square IDEALS of Democracy, Environmentalism, Leadership and Service into action while giving students the opportunity to make a positive contribution to their community.
The fundraiser featured a range of stalls offering snacks, drinks and games. Students took responsibility for planning, organising and running the event, working together to manage the stalls, engage with visitors and ensure everything ran smoothly. There was strong support from parents, teachers and fellow students which helped make the day a success.
For the school, the initiative provided valuable opportunities for students to develop skills in teamwork, leadership, financial responsibility and community engagement. It also reinforced the idea that meaningful change often begins with small actions taken collectively.
The positive response from the school community has encouraged the Round Square team to continue creating opportunities for students to lead service-oriented projects and strengthen their understanding of responsible citizenship and global-mindedness.
