Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of School to lead our institution. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in educational leadership, with a minimum of 5-10 years in middle leadership or 1-3 years in a senior leadership role. The successful candidate will be an individual aged between 40-55, recognised for their creativity, courage, and ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Vision: Drive the strategic vision of the school, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence in teaching and learning.
• Team Empowerment: Delegate responsibilities effectively, leveraging team strengths to support professional growth and development.
• Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with all stakeholders, ensuring clarity and transparency in decision-making processes.
• Relationship Building: Develop and sustain beneficial relationships within the school community and beyond, enhancing the school’s profile and network.
• Empathy & Inclusivity: Build a motivated and cohesive team grounded in integrity, respect, and a strong sense of community.
• Problem Solving: Approach challenges with a positive spirit and resourcefulness, fostering a culture of resilience and adaptability.
• Lifelong Learning: Promote a culture of curiosity and continuous learning among staff and students, embodying the ethos of “learning for life.”

Qualifications

• Educational Background: A relevant degree in Education or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
• Experience: Proven experience in leadership roles within international education settings, particularly with IB or Cambridge curricula.
• Skills:
o Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
o Strong networking abilities and relationship-building skills.
o Demonstrated capacity for problem-solving and innovation.
o High levels of emotional intelligence and empathy.
