“You can do it Colette!” Summer whispered as Courageous Colette slowly walked on to the stage. “I hope” Summer mumbled under her breath. Colette is normally really brave and never shows a hint of fear, but as soon as Summer and Colette got to the theatre, suddenly Colette felt really embarrassed about her clothes, which were sparkly and blue. She also suddenly felt really scared. Summer didn’t have the slightest clue why, until she heard a snicker from the crowd. As soon as Colette heard that sound she turned bright red.

“Eric” Summer whispered.

Embarrassment Eric is a student at Emotion High School who can send embarrassment towards anyone, so can the recast of the emotions but they have to be near them, but Eric doesn’t even have to be near them to do this. He knew that Colette was performing that day. ‘He was the cause of Colette being so embarrassed by her sparkly clothes.’ Summerrealised.

Colette was visibly trembling by then.

“Colette” Summer whispered, “Colette please hear me!”

Luckily for Summer, Colette did hear her and turned to face her. Her face showed only one emotion – pure terror.

“Colette” Summer said again, “It’s ok, it’s only Eric playing tricks on you. You can do this!”

Colette nodded slightly, took three deep breaths, closed her eyes and finally started to sing. The sound was utterly beautiful. Colette hit every note perfectly and twirled around the stage as she sang. Seeing this made Summer jump with delight. Colette got to the final verse just as the Bad Emotions Club (as they are known at the High School) walked into the hall and fixed eyes on Colette. Colette immediately fell to the floor, sobbing and gasping for breath.

Summer ran over to her and said, “sh… calm down, it’s ok. You’ll be ok and I can shut this whole thing down if you want me to.” Summer reassured her. With that Colette stood, looked down at Supportive Summer and smiled as she said, “Thank you Summer, you really are Supportive. And now it’s time for me to be Courageous.” Colette ran back-stage and came back onto the stage wearing her Hero Of Discovery out-fit and passed one to Summer as she stood up. Summer jaw dropped when she saw an outfit in her hands and her jaw dropped even further when Colette said “well go on, go put it on” “Really?” Summer asked “You mean it?” Colette nodded. Summer squealed and ran backstage, coming out in an outfit just like Colette’s. “Let’s do this!” Summer yelled pointing to the bad emotions. Colette and Summer looked at each other and both nodded and charged at the Bad Emotions Club.

The emotions stood face to face. “I’m sorry, but you can’t keep treating people the way you do anymore.” Summer told the gang. “You can’t control us!” Yelled Embarrassment Eric, rising from his seat in the crowd and striding over. “Colette might be your boss but you’re not ours!” He yelled. The gang nodded along in unison. “I don’t believe you’ve met all the members of this wonderful gang and what we can all do. Meet Fearful Fred, Envious Elliott, Bored Brendan, Sadness Sam and me.”

“Yes, we know who you are. Let’s get this over with. Unless you want yourself or any of your precious little gang to get hurt.” Colette warned.

The gang ignored Colette’s warning as she explained the plan.

“Ok. This is what we’ll do.” Colette whispered to Summer. “We will try to focus our kindness, courage, love and support on all of them.”

Summer nodded. “Ok” she said. “In 3…2…1…GO!”

Colette and Summer closed their eyes and pushed their happy emotions into the gang of bad ones. This caught them by surprise. All of the gang fell to the ground as the emotions hit them, groaning from the blast. Summer and Colette cheered. After that, Colette called the principal and the gang was taken back to class. They got extra homework and two weeks of detention. Colette turned to Summer, who was taking off her costume.

“What are you doing?” Colette asked.

“Taking off the costume.” Summer replied.

Colette took Summer by the shoulders and said “Summer, I couldn’t have done this without you. I really hope you know that.”

Summer smiled. “Thank you Colette.” She said.

Colette took Summer’s hand and with a smile said “Why don’t you keep that costume, Summer?”

THE END.
