We are seeking to appoint an experienced Educational leader who will join the Senior Leadership Team in order to ensure the ongoing development and continuos improvement of the written, taught and assessed curriculum in Craighouse School.

Craighouse School is a leading, independent, bilingual, coeducational day school of just under 2,000 pupils. The school has Chilean and British traditions and offers IB PYP, MYP & DP as well as following the Chilean national curriculum.

Inaugurated in March 2013 and scenically located in the foothills of the Andes, our new purpose-built campus provides excellent facilities in a stunning natural environment. Our family oriented Educational Project fully integrates the academic and formative areas so that each pupil reaches their full potential as a person.

The Academic Director must be a leader with exceptional interpersonal skills, bilingual (English-Spanish) committed to the methodological philosophy of the IB programmes, with an international outlook or personal life experience.

The Academic Director will lead decision-making on academic matters within the Senior Leadership Team, sharing innovations and trends in education to inform PD and enhancing the school’s educational project.

The Academic Director will lead and supervise the team of Academic Coordinators and Heads of Department to provide high quality pedagogical leadership throughout the school in terms of curriculum design, assessment practices teaching methodologies and continual professional development..

The Academic Director is responsible for liaising with national and international bodies such as the IBO and the Chilean Education Ministry.  He/she will be responsible for IB Diploma, PSU and standardized test results throughout the school and will work with the evaluation team to analyse data so as to create strategies to improve pupil progress.
