RS Schools’ Support Director – Australasia and East Asia

Round Square is seeking to appoint a new SSD to promote and support schools’ development of Round Square themes and programmes, and coordinate collaboration between schools, across the Australasia and East Asia region.

Based in the A&EA Region, the successful applicant will have a background in education/ teaching and an understanding of the varying education landscape and diverse needs of schools across the A&EA Region. In this role they will draw on their ability to engage with, inform and advise schools’ strategic development at a senior level to provide ambassadorial leadership and share good practice across a wide-ranging network.

Day-to-day the role involves supporting schools across region in embedding, and developing approaches to, the RS IDEALS and Discovery Framework. In addition the SSD coordinates collaborative initiatives between schools and facilitate engagement in programmes such as virtual and physical student exchange and conferences, RS Postcards, the IDEALS Challenge, Service Projects and more.

The Schools’ Support Director reports directly to the RS Chief Executive as part of the Round Square Worldwide Management Team.

The role is envisaged as a full-time appointment, on a three-year contract, but this is negotiable with potential to combine part-time with a RS-focused role within a school depending on circumstances.
