Felsted is a leading day and boarding independent school based in a stunning village campus in North Essex. Founded in 1564 by Richard Lord Riche, who had been a Lord Chancellor under King Edward VI, Felsted today provides an exceptional holistic education to approximately 1100 boys and girls aged four to eighteen. Our International Summer School has recently completed its sixth year and operates during the School Summer Holidays for six weeks. The programme offers students a wide range of academic, sporting and cultural opportunities for c.350 students aged 8-17 from all continents over the world. To run our successful and well-established programme, we need creative, enthusiastic and well qualified staff to work with us.

For our 2019 programme we require a suitably qualified Science Teacher with knowledge of how to carry out science experiments in a lab to work with our junior students. The role involves the planning and delivery of a Science Academy to the junior campus International Summer School students, aged between 8 and 11. The course aims to help each student achieve their individual best to gain specific subject knowledge whilst encouraging full student participation and learner independence.

This is a part time, fixed-term role between 8th July and 16th August 2019. Inductions will be held from 4th to 6th July.

We are rated ‘Excellent in every aspect’ by the Independent Schools Inspectorate.
