Riverdale Country School is a co-educational, independent, college-preparatory day school in New York City serving pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. It is located on two campuses covering more than 27 acres in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, New York, United States.
The IDEALS in our school
We have brought character strengths and wellbeing to the core of schools through the Character Lab and the International Positive Education Network. We have implemented design thinking through our partnership with IDEO and have worked with John Kao and his youth-innovation platform, Edgemakers, in bringing entrepreneurship to young people. Our Zagat Global Fellows program creates partnerships between educators at Riverdale and educators in Africa, China, New Zealand, and Europe. Our Plussed+ learning-design studio works to share educational ideas; our first major project is the founding of a new international school in Hanoi, Vietnam, the Delta Global School.
