The IDEALS in our school
At SHS, many of the IDEALS are embedded in our classes as well as offered as experiences outside the classroom. We seek to develop empathetic, globally minded future leaders. Our school motto is “Non Sibi” and we encourage our students to think beyond themselves, to build connections and to engage in their communities. SHS has several service projects and unique and challenging opportunities offered throughout the year. We seek to challenge our students in and out of the classroom and to have them challenge each other with the ultimate goal of developing intellectually curious, informed and caring thinkers and leaders.
What being a Round Square school means to us
At SHS, we are very excited to engage in the international network of schools exploring leadership, service and cross-cultural exploration of key issues facing our world today. Through RS we hope to expand our students’ understanding of themselves and their place in the world around them. The rich network and history of Round Square will help us further develop our Global Citizenry and expand their global understanding of key issues facing our world and together work to solve them.
