Thailand (December 7th - 27th 2010)
This Project is again working alongside the Pakanyor Foundation in Northern Thailand to construct and establish an essential clean water system for the Karen village of Ban Den Hom in the Sameong District, about 1 hour's drive from Chiang Mai. Working alongside local villagers and the fantastic team from the Pakanyor Foundation, the group will be damming water sources, digging trenches, laying pipes and then building two new water storage tanks. After the Project work, the team will embark on a 4-day visit to Chiang Mai during which there will be one day at an elephant conservation Project, a half-day Thai cookery course, visits to local temples and plenty of market shopping!
Kenya (December 10th - 28th 2010) - team now full - waiting list only.
The team will be working in partnership with the Presidents Award and Starehe Boys Centre in Nairobi to start work at Riandira Primary School, approximately 95km from Nairobi. The team will be building a new classroom and toilet block for the school that has very few facilities. We are building in some time for teaching and sports with the children, as well as local home visits. After the Project, the group will embark on a 4-day safari in the Masai Mara.
Honduras (December 4th to 22nd 2010)
We are delighted to return to Honduras again this year to work alongside our partner - Sociedad Amigos de los Ninos (SAN). The group will be working in the small village of Nuevo Paraiso, which is nestled in the mountains 2 hours from Tegucigalpa. There will be various tasks to work on including helping local people to build a carpentry training centre for the boys, helping with a medical camp for local people and holding computer classes and sports activities for the children. After the Project, the team will be going out to coast to visit some of the stunning national parks and beaches!
India - (December 6th/7th to December 27th for International Students; December 8th to December 22nd for Indian students)
We are really excited to be working with The Daly College and the Barli Institute in Indore this year on a community environmental Project. The team will be working alongside the Barli Institute to help construct a wind-generator, some solar panelling, lighting and solar cooking stoves for a disadvantaged community on the outskirts of Indore. As well as construction work, the team will have plenty of interaction with villagers - learning some solar cooking as well as giving presentations to them on your own country and sustainable living ideas. There is a mid-Project break exploring the amazing sites of Mandu and Maheshwar, and after the Project, the International team will be going to see the sites of Agra and Jaipur (including the Taj Mahal). Indian students are welcome to join the International team on the cultural tours in Agra and Jaipur.

July and August 2010 Projects:
Guatemala (August 4th - 25th)
We are delighted to be working once again in partnership with FogQuest to work on another water project in Guatemala. The team will be helping FogQuest to construct large fog-collection nets and water storage facilities for a small Highland village near the border with Mexico. The village is high up in the mountains and at some times of the year it is a long walk for the villagers to get water. Collecting fog is a unique way of providing a source of clean, fresh water and the group will be living in the village and working alongside local people and the FogQuest team.
The cultural tour will be based out of the UNESCO World Heritage site of La Antigua Guatemala and there will be opportunities to visit colourful markets, tour up a volcano to roast marshmallows over the lava (yes, really!), do some kayaking at the coast and possibly visit a turtle sanctuary.
