Wyoming Seminary (www.wyomingseminary.org) seeks a highly motivated professional to become our next Director of Domestic Admissions. The successful candidate will enthusiastically embrace Sem’s mission, diverse culture, and community, and serve as a compelling ambassador for Wyoming Seminary.

The Director of Domestic Admissions coordinates the admission process for grades 9-12 & postgraduate; day and boarding students. The Director is a member of the larger Wyoming Seminary Admissions team, reporting to the Dean of Admissions & Financial Aid. She or he will also work in concert with the Upper School Directors of International Admissions, Financial Aid and Marketing.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills and bring a “can do” attitude to the position. Familiarity with student recruitment processes and independent school marketing is desirable. The Director, in collaboration with the Admission and Marketing teams, will maintain and grow the Sem referral network including, but not limited to, students, alumni, current and past parents, human resource professionals, real estate agents, school counselors, junior boarding school representatives, and school consultants. They will attend secondary placement fairs, travel for showcases and other opportunities that will yield potential prospective day and boarding students. The ability to articulate the many positive benefits of a Sem education and effectively relate to young adults and parents is essential.

This is a twelve-month position that requires work on some evenings, weekends, and holidays. The ability to travel often is required. Salary and benefits are commensurate with the candidate’s experience and skills.

Duties & Responsibilities:
· Establishes strong relationships with potential and current parents, staff and faculty of the school
· Interview and evaluate student applicants
· Leads admission, marketing and recruitment initiatives for the Upper School’s domestic day and boarding population and directs the process of attracting, enrolling and retaining students
· Organizes markets and executes Admission events
· Maintains Upper School admissions, marketing, financial aid, demographics, and other important trends
· Serves as a contributing member of the Financial Aid Committee and supports the Sem mission to maintain a diverse population
· Coordinates the re-enrollment of current students in collaboration with the Upper School Dean and the Dean of Admissions & Financial Aid
· Represents the Wyoming Seminary Admissions team at public events
· Maintain and encourage relationships with feeder schools, counselors and consultants
· Performs all such other related duties consistent with the position as assigned

Candidate Background:
· Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
· Independent school admission experience preferred
